 Don McLeod is a Certified Financial Planner with 22 years’ experience in the industry and has tertiary qualifications in science and education.
Don began his career in the financial services industry as a sole trader in 1988 and in 1994 established his company Don McLeod & Associates Pty Ltd. He held a Proper Authority with Apogee Financial Planning (formerly Lend Lease Financial Planning) from 1994 to 2005.
Don completed the Diploma of Financial Planning through Deakin University in 2000 and was granted Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status by the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) in March 2001.
His company entered into partnership with WA & MK Watzdorf Pty Ltd in 2003. The partnership made a strategic decision to change it’s licensee to Securitor Financial Services 2005 where Don currently is an Authorised Representative.
Don believes strongly in the enhancement of the profession and has taken an active role by serving on the State and National Apogee Financial Planning Advisory Boards prior to joining Securitor. He is currently serving his third year on the Securitor Circle, Securitor’s State Advisory Board. Don emphasises a holistic approach to financial planning and aims to provide high levels of service.
His integrity and ethical business practices have led to him being held in high esteem among his peers.
When not at work, Don enjoys spending time with his family, bush walking, playing social tennis, gardening and following the AFL and A-league soccer.
Werner Watzdorf,

 Werner Watzdorf is a Certified Financial Planner with 21 years’ experience in the industry. He entered the life insurance industry in 1989 and became an Accredited Life Writer in 1992.
WA & MK Watzdorf Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1994 with Werner holding a Proper Authority with Apogee Financial Planning (formerly Lend Lease Financial Planning).
In 2000 Werner completed his Diploma in Financial Planning with Deakin University and achieved Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status with the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
WA & MK Watzdorf Pty Ltd entered into partnership with Don McLeod and Associates in 2003 forming McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning. The partnership made a strategic decision to change it’s licensee to Securitor Financial Services in 2005 where Werner currently is an Authorised Representative.
Werner is a highly energetic person with a drive to deliver exceptional client service and quality financial planning advice. His aim is to help clients build long term financial success. He attends regular training sessions, seminars and conferences to stay abreast of industry changes.
He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, music, bushwalking, golf, good food and American vintage cars.
Christine Swanson, Dip FP AFPA MAICD

Christine Swanson is an Associate of the Financial Planning Association with 23 years’ industry experience.
Her company, Prominent Financial Services Pty Ltd was incorporated in 1997 and the partnership of Prominent Financial Planners was established with Peter Earl in 2000.
Christine completed the Diploma of Financial Planning through Deakin University in 2003.
Prominent Financial Services Pty Ltd made the strategic decision to become a proprietor of McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning after Christine’s business partner, Peter Earl, decided to pursue a career in law in 2010. This strategic move saw the combined experience of McLeod Watzdorf and Prominent Financial Planners Client Service teams available to all clients of both companies.
Christine is committed to helping her clients improve their financial situation and maximize their financial potential. She achieves this by continuing professional development and keeping abreast of legislative changes, this enables her to ascertain how to maximize each client’s financial situation with a level of quality service and uncomplicated advice.
Christine is accredited to provide advice in the areas of Superannuation, Managed Investments, Direct shares, Personal Insurance, Salary packaging & Self Managed Superannuation Funds.
Christine has a diploma in Financial Planning, is an Associate of The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) since 1997 and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
When not at work Christine enjoys walking, exercising, being pampered, entertaining and enjoying the company of family and friends.
Christine plays an active role in the community and is passionate about her work with Cancer Council SA Christine is an Ambassador for Cancer Council SA and coordinates the Glitz & Hammer Annual Fundraising Ball.
Darlene McLeod,
Director, Financial Control
Darlene has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years in administrative and managerial roles. Before joining Don McLeod & Associates Pty Ltd as a co-Director in 1994, she held positions of Office Manager/Personal Assistant to the State Manager for Australian Eagle Life, MLC Ltd and Lend Lease Financial Planning Ltd. This experience contributed to the development of a successful financial planning practice prior to the company partnering with WA & MK Watzdorf Pty Ltd in 2003. Darlene assumed the position of financial controller and is responsible for the day to day accounting procedures for the partnership. She also assists in staff recruitment and review processes.
Outside of business, Darlene is actively involved in her children’s school, including the role of ‘Parent Representative’ and assistant coach/manager of junior basketball and soccer. Darlene also enjoys the AFL, the Socceroos, family vacations, spending time with family and friends, reading, swimming and being outdoors.
Manuela Watzdorf,
Director, Human Resources
Manuela co-founded WA & MK Watzdorf Pty Ltd in 1994. She established administration and accounting practices supporting the growing business, drawing on expertise gained in more than 10 years’ management and customer service. Manuela successfully managed a division of Ansett Australia responsible for providing local and multi-national companies with corporate, group and incentive travel.
WA & MK Watzdorf Pty Ltd entered into partnership with Don McLeod and Associates Pty Ltd in 2003 forming McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning. Manuela contributes extensive analytical skills to the partnership. With the steady growth of McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning the need arose for dedicated human resources management within the partnership; Manuela assumed responsibility for this role in 2007. Her responsibilities include staff recruitment, regular reviews and developing automated systems that improve communication and workflow.
Manuela enjoys raising and educating her children, spending time with family and friends, reading, karate, pilates, Adelaide’s vibrant culture and magnificent environment.
Boris Pedisic,

 Boris Pedisic is a Certified Financial Planner with 12 years’ experience and has tertiary qualifications in Mathematical Sciences. After completing University, Boris started out in the financial services industry with AMP in 1989 and has held a Proper Authority since 1997. Boris currently is an Authorised Representative with Securitor Financial Services.
In July 2001 Boris completed his Diploma of Financial Planning through Deakin University and was granted Certified Financial Planner (CFP) status by the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
Boris joined McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning in May 2007. He believes in a holistic approach to financial planning and aims to provide exceptional levels of service. Boris enjoys helping clients achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.
Boris likes to spend time with his family and friends, reading, keeping fit and the outdoor lifestyle at Henley Beach.
Keith Barnes,

 Keith Barnes is a Certified Financial Planner, who is also licensed through the Securitor Financial Group. He chose to work under the umbrella of McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning in 2005.
Keith is a Certified Financial Planner with 28 years’ experience in the industry. He has a Diploma in Financial Planning and the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
Keith has entered partial retirement in 2010. McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning will continue to extend our services to his clients through our experienced Financial Planners. Keith will maintain a restricted license with Securitor allowing McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning to draw on Keith’s extensive knowledge for designated projects.

Joy Hart has worked in the Financial Planning Industry for 9 years. She commenced with Don McLeod & Associates Pty Ltd in 2002 as Personal Assistant to Don McLeod. After the formation of McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning in 2003 Joy was promoted to the position of Office Manager. Her extensive skills in effective client service and administration support play a valuable role in sustaining client satisfaction.
Joy’s dedication to achieving positive outcomes, her insight and knowledge base greatly enhance our service delivery.
Joy holds a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning).
Nathan Harding
Systems & Support Manager
Nathan joined Prominent Financial Planners in 2000 as a Client Services Officer. He has a Diploma in Business Management & Administration and is now the System & Supports Manager for the practice. Nathan is responsible for many aspects of the business, from the development of business systems and marketing tools to adviser and client support. He also prepares client Statement of Advice (SoA) documents and ensures the settlement of a client's strategy is implemented as smoothly and trouble-free as possible.

Darren joined McLeod Watzdorf Financial Planning in 2008 and has 6 years experience in the Financial Planning Industry. He holds a Certificate III in Business Administration and has commenced studies toward a Diploma in Financial Services.
Lily Ferreira

Lily joined Prominent Financial Planners in 2005 under a traineeship while studying Certificate 3 in Business Administration. Lily is one of the Client Services Officers of the practice. Lily is responsible for ongoing client administration and can assist you at any time with your general queries.
